BREAKING! New 2021 Bronco, Bronco Sport and Next F-150 ALL Delayed At LEAST Two Months. Our Sources Say Maybe LONGER.
Look for at LEAST a two month delay on the launch of the new Bronco, Bronco Sport and 2021 F-150.

“We’re not going to do any additional delay to these launches beyond the impact of Covid-19 as a mechanism to conserve cash,” Hau Thai-Tang, Ford’s head of product development and purchasing, said Friday at a Bank of America analysts’ conference. “Given our inability to work in the assembly plants during the shelter-in-place restrictions, it will have an impact to program timing, in terms of the launches. But we expect the launch delays to be commensurate with the duration of the shutdown period.”

I hope the new Bronco is nothing like the over weight Bronco HOG that Ford made in the 1980's and early 1990's.

You already know for a certainty that it isn't.

Ford is going down the drain! LOL! Delay after delay with the two Broncos. Release two months plus at least 2-3 before in the dealerships! That is October sales! Ugh!

The pent up demand for the Bronco, Bronco Sport, and the next F150 will be the payoff. All manufacturers are staggering with reopening.

Not news to me, as it reached almost 3-4 months. 60 days is marginally better.

For the past 20 months, at U725 final design freeze in 2018, I mentioned that Job 1 was December 7, 2020 for MY 2021.

The problem is a lot of people don't listen and trust ignorant writers and/or news sites, who don't know a lick. R/whoosh

February 2021 SOP is the target now, for April launch. F-150 is December 2020, just like P552 (Dec 2014) and P415 (December 2008).

P708 SD is now February 2023.

Mach E is January launch, from November 2020.

Side note: Bronco was NEVER a 2020 model, since about 2016. August 2016 documentation of mine on U725, mentioned July 1, 2020 Job 1, back in early development. Labor Day 2020 would've been the release date. Upon design freeze in 2018, it was pushed back 5 months to December 7, 2020 Job 1 for late January/Feb deliveries. Add 2 more months now...hopefully.

I am very disappointed that Mulally never initiated this program himself, to have moved things along sooner. Would've liked to take delivery before my 30th.
