Should FORD Introduce BRONCO And NEW F-150 RIGHT NOW? In The World Of Social Media Sharing And Viral News Are Traditional Launches Even NEEDED Anymore?
So one of the biggest auto questions out there is now that the 2021 Ford Bronco and 2021 F-150 launches had to be cancelled due to Wuhan Virus/Covid-19 WHEN should they launch the products.

Some say wait till everyone is back and economy rolling again but think about it. If you want to reach the MOST people, would RIGHT NOW be the best time?

People have plenty of time on their hands.

Do a virtual launch and do some great ads on the networks, streaming outlets, FB, Twitter, AUTO SPIES, etc.

You have a captive audience sitting there WAITING for interesting things!

We say to Ford, DO IT first thing after this holiday weekend. And then, keep people updated every step of the way.

PLAY WITH CONFIDENCE!

After the Explorer experience, they might consider additional delays.

That was f'ed in the head. We had legitimate interest and deposits in hand. Production begins and we get more deposits. Production is being funneled somewhere to take care of deep quality control issues. People cancel and we refunded the full deposits. Sales of the Explorer on the lot dwindled because no one wanted the old one. Finally production arrives two months late, but our inventory was $50K jobs when we needed $35K jobs. People walked. As leases expired, people walked.

The Escape was nearly as bad. Production began but arrived at the dealer in a trickle. It too was grossly overpriced and that sent people away. Other said it was ugly--it is--and walked.

They need to introduce these models in a state that is low on COVIDiots and build up the buzz on them.

In-vehicle time is necessary to launch a vehicle.

Then they need to do a reminder event for the Mach E somewhere free of the mask "klan".

They also need to pull out all the stops on the 2022 Fusion.

Finally, they desperately need to do completely new noses on the Explorer and Escape for 2023.

Ford needs to setup up a pre-order, deposit and built sales campaign similar to that of Tesla and Chevrolet C8. In china that way, you have already have sales in hand for the assembly plant to customer without it sitting in the dealership lots.

#Ignorant response

Ford most decidedly has been working very hard with dealers to slot orders for production during all of this.
