Renault Could Go Out Of Business Without French Bailout

According to French Finance Minister, Bruno Le Maire, Renault runs the risk of going out of business if it doesn’t get help in dealing with the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic.

During an interview on Europe 1 radio today, Le Maire said that Renault’s plant in Flins must not close and that the carmaker should try to save as many jobs as possible in its native land, while also remaining competitive.

Not all brands will survive this period dealing with COVID-19. It may take a year to run it's course or longer. Even in Canada were we have a good handle on it the Gov't is still planning on a 2nd wave during the winter cold/flu season.

Be in Renault or Nissan or others. There are too many brands and too much capacity in the auto space. A great many should go the way of the Dodo.

Canadian government are clueless. They should have closed down the airports since the first case was reported but instead they pandered and catered to the airline companies. Now, the airline companies are facing bankruptcies and are crying out for government bailout.

CC from Canada said: Gov't is still planning on a 2nd wave during the winter cold/flu season.

This is "the left wing talking point" in the USA. Covid 19 will spike to new levels not seen before. This will be Trump's fault and you can welcome Joe Biden to be our new President.

One more time... A Left Wing plot to get rid of Donald Trump.

@ROE - Correct. COVID-19 case figures moved up a little bit in Canada as the rules allowed more business to open. Too many US States are ignoring the CDC rules and jumping over Phase 1 to Phase 2. Now the White House is pushing for Churches to open. This is just wrong. The disease spreads too easily in confined spaces. Stay the course and listen to the CDC and the scientists.

San Diego County had once reported over 200 COVID deaths but Dr. Wilma Wutang was forced to admit that ONLY SIX were actually due to COVID-19.

The pathetic idiot running the show was counting the following as COVID-19 deaths: end-stage cancer, heart attack, stroke, drug overdose, suicide, murder, car fatalities IF the person was found to have COVID.

Incompetence.

Hey foreigner from the Third World up north, we have a thing here called The Constitution and in it is the separation of church and state.

@MD- The Separation of Church and State is an idea. You won't find it in your Constitution. It is not written anywhere.

If you have people of colour using public bathrooms, sitting anywhere they want to on a bus or a restaurant and sitting in the same pew as you in church, going to college with your kids or being promoted to CEO, you have real examples of the power of the Federal and State governments vs the racism that still exists in America. As health is a state issue, the Governor's can keep churches and other places of gathering closed for the time being until the COVID-19 case hold flatlines and drops consistently over a 2 week period.

@MD- As stated the separation of Church and State is not in the First Amendment. It just says Congress can't impede you creating one or practicing your faith. IE you can't be penalized in any way for your faith or having none. This does not give you the right to assemble as a large group in an enclosed space (like a concert or big church service) during a pandemic and make other people sick. Which is why 99% of folks are fine with this measure until things get better. Ask a lawyer.

I realize that schools in Third World countries like Canada have an issue with low literacy due to an inability for the captives to comprehend basic English, but your statement: "Congress can't impede you creating one or practicing your faith." proves separation of church and state. #Dismissed.

Matt: I would agree that there is SUPPOSE to be separation of Church and State but: Why is Christmas a National Holiday?

Don't be intentionally dense. The United States is a largely Christian country and as such the government declared a national holiday given that they knew that Christians would worship on that day rather than going to work. It really is that simple. It is NOT however the government telling people to worship.
