What Are The THREE Most UNDERRATED Vehicles For Sale In 2020? And Are ANY American?
It's pretty easy to figure out the popular vehicles or highest rated just by doing a quick search on the internet.

But most sites give MOST of their attention to rides with 'click' buzz and many aren't even available yet. The New Corvette, Ford Bronco, Tesla CyberTruck.

But finding the underrated gems out there isn't as easy.

Many only find out about them buy with a friend who own one, a dealership test drive, a dealer loaner car, insurance rental loaner. Or on obscure sites or forums.

But we assure you they're out there. And many you may never consider.

Let me pick one and explain.

Both 00R and I think one of the most underrated products out there is the Honda Accord. UNLOVED by the brand snobs. When people ask us what to buy who may be considering say a low end Mercedes, we tell them they should SERIOUSLY consider the new Accord. It's a pretty fantastic product, especially for the $$$.

But a BMW, MINI, MB, Lexus snob may never even LOWER themselves to go check one out. You may still buy the original car you went looking for but you'll be better for at least the experience so you can properly judge what's decent these days.

So we want you to name THREE rides like the Accord that you can buy TODAY for UNDER $40k MSRP. And are ANY American? Car, Truck or SUV. Or a mix.

And be sure to tell us WHY they're underrated in your opinion and what you like about them.

The Accord most certainly hits above its weight class. I'd easily buy it over a Lexus ES, and it wouldn't even need a 6, just its 2.0L with the 10-spd auto. It seriously drove and felt as good, even as a FWD car, as the 435i Gran Coupe in Comfort mode. It should be outselling that Camry 2:1.

I do think the Kia Stinger GT is underappreciated (not necessarily underrated) becuase its' a Kia. The GT hauls serious ass and handles very well, like a fine GT. Though it does have inferior quality to the Germans and Lexus, it's a really fine car and attractive and should really be selling much more than it does. Then again, it's priced probably $5K higher than it should be.

For some reason I feel like the Benz GLS is not as loved as it should be. Some feel its design and approach is a bit too conservative. But I love its clean lines compared to the X7, and it has the better interior, IMO. And the optional air suspension makes it a sublime ride and drive (as it does in the GLE also).

Another is the Acura NSX. I think mainly due to its price point, it's not taken as seriously. It doesn't help that it doesn't have a supporting case in the brand's model lineup, at least until the new TLX Type-S arrives. It performs right up there with most supercars and should be appreciated especially since its refinements last year.

And this last one, now hear me out, is the Toyota Sienna. Yes, a minivan. Even the outgoing model is like driving a luxury car. So quiet. So poised. High quality interior. Pretty handsome even in its old age. And the new one I'm actually liking, too. The Odyssey is a better driver and has high quality, too, but it's a bit noisier inside so doesn't quite give the luxury car feel.

The Accord is a fantastic vehicle that suffers from some mis-styling at the front.

It desperately needs a makeover. The tail lights need to be full width and the nose needs to be a full, clean-sheet design.

The Hyundai Palisade is underrated because it's totally in the shadow of the Telluride, but it is a Telluride.

The Stinger is underrated because it has the audacity to be a RWD sedan as good as a 3 or a C albeit with better reliability and lower cost of ownership that the German car bigots can't allow themselves to acknowledge.

Finally, the Lincoln Nautilus. Granted, its design is long in tooth and on the rapidly disappearing CD4 platform, but the transformation from the lackluster MKX into the Nautilus was actually rather well done.

I'd say the new 3 series.

All I read these days is how BMW design is boring and they've gone way from their UDM roots. Meanwhile mine is fantastic.

What Are The THREE Most UNDERRATED Vehicles For Sale In 2020? And Are ANY American?

At a local used car lot that has the following for sale:

1972 AMC Gremlin
1976 Ford Granada
1990 Dodge Shadow

I would say that my list is underrated

The Gremlin is in a class of its own..but the Ford Granada!

The Fords of the 1970's were pretty terrible. Many of you are too young, but there was a Granada luxury edition 4-door that Ford put 'Mercedes' headrests on (remember those from Steve 'six million dollar man' Austin's 450SL?) and then proceeded to do a bunch of adverts comparing the Granada to the MB 450SEL. What a terrible car!

The other Fords - Torino's, LTD's, Pinto's had electrical problems (Pinto issues aside) and they routinely suffered from spontaneous electrical fires, even when new. They were really bad. GM quality was better back then

The Granada was largely a reskinned Maverick which itself was a reskinned Falcon (1960) and that got me to thinking about the Thunderbolt drag car that came off that platform in Fairlane form. CobraJet under the hood of a Grenada could be an unruly hoot. The Gremlin is collectible. The Shadow is a rarity. The only ones I've seen were in junk yards.
