I like the headlights, that grill looks terrible.

I like it - finally something a little different and not so rinse and repeat generation after generation.

In scale and position, the grill is not too unlike an Audi A5 circa 2012 or so. But while the Audi looked elegant and clean, this is so bizarre and busy looking - I particularly hate the cowcatcher front bumper echoing the grill shape.

Would actually look pretty good if it wasn't for that grill.

I think BMW wanted to make sure the new 4-Series doesn't get coronavirus so it fitted the car with a permanent mask!

What a massive sales disaster the 4-Series will be! If BMW spreads this grille to other models, watch out! Sales across the BMW brand could drop by 25%+ year over year!

It will be interesting to see reaction in sales. Will BMW charge ahead with the design to other models, or retreat with a quick refresh in 2 years, forgetting it ever happened.

The size is fine and follows the "big is better" when it comes to grills. It will grow on you just like the awfal initial Audi grill until they figured out a new shape. The biggest challenge is how it looks with and without a plate.

People said to me that the ZDX would grow on me. It didn't. This won't either.

It is so ugly that the Lexus LC Looks a lot better for me and If the the M3 and 4 series GC have the same nose, Acura TLX is going to steal all the sales. If a miracle happens , all people that will buy this ugly face will be loyal to BMW or just people looking for something different even if it is ugly for "us" (beauty is in the eyes of the beholders).

The initial Audi grill looked nothing like this 4-Series grill. It was a single grill with horizontal stripes. This is two grilles with a mesh-type design.

Not sure there is a single aesthetically pleasing line on this from these shots. The grille is awful. The profile is disjointed. The car looks stubby. And it looks like a two-door Malibu. Honestly, I'm hoping the real thing doesn't look this awful, but normally brochure pictures show your best side.

Where, oh, where did BMW's design ethos go? The 2 Series is an awful, awful design and now this. And BMW can't seem to find a way to make the greenhouse of the 3 and 5 Series any different than their past 2 generations. I'm really fearful for any future models.
