Dealerships Are Running Out Of Both New And Used Inventory

And while the situation is dire, sales haven't slowed down as much as analysts initially predicted thanks to ridiculously-good incentives—so now the industry is facing a new problem: dealerships are running out of inventory, and production isn't quite up to speed yet.

Ford handing over thousands upon thousands of sedan and compact sales to foreign based companies is inexcusable.

They say it is no longer a profitable business for the company. But many of the components - and in some cases, the entire assembly - was being sourced abroad anyway.

Something isn't right with this explanation. And how many American workers are being impacted by this move? It's huge.

But probably the most significant result of this insane business decision is that no longer will Ford be able to start new customers with the affordable and economical - and then follow them up the food chain to more profitable models.

No, instead of Fords, they will now most certainly start their journey with Kia's, Hyundais and Hondas - and will stay with them for multiple generations of subsequent vehicles.

You're ignorant of Ford's current offerings and future plans and the market data. Although it was a hastily converted design, we have the Ecosport for entry level and we have traffic on them at about the same volume as the Fiesta gave. But for Ford and GM, the A/B segments non-crossovers just are not volume sellers, but neither are they for Hyundai, Kia, or Honda either. The once-powerful Honda Fit is a sales dud now. The Ecosport is slated for replacement with a much better vehicle, the Puma. The super-affordable car market is the used market.
