LA Protests: I Promise Officer, It Didn't Look This Way When I Left It

Last weekend, protestors and looters took to the streets of Los Angeles, as well as dozens of other cities across the United States, to protest the death of George Floyd on May 25 in Minneapolis.

The video below from YouTuber and car photographer effspot provides us with a shocking look at what happened in The City of Angels.

The vast majority of the video shows looters breaking into stores and stealing anything they could find. At one stage, looters smash through the glass windows and doors at an Alexander McQueen, stealing many expensive items from the fashion outlet. For car enthusiasts like ourselves, however, things really hit home when the YouTuber stumbles across a black Porsche 911 GT3 RS that was also destroyed.

Look, there's no excuse for bad cops, and I hope they all receive what's coming to them, if not here then when they meet their maker. But all this destruction in the name of "justice" is not a reasonable response. They are harming so many people that they consider are part of what they're fighting for. Peaceful demonstration can bring change, but nonsense like this just makes it harder.

The ones destructing are not the ones protesting so let’s be clear, there are millions of Americans out of work looking to take their frustration out in destructive ways.

2nd the destruction of property doesn’t hold a candle to the destruction of families, lives, and loved ones lost forever.

That Porsche is being replaced next week, most buildings have insurance, those lives are forever lost.

Btw, black folks have been peacefully protesting since the civil rights movement, yet they see hash tag after hash tag, RIP after RIP, with little to no change.

6% of the population is Black Male and they killed 42% of all Police officers (of all colors black and white, ++) in 2019. Being a cop is hard, but they're trained, yet every situation is different.
