WATCH - Model 3 Performance vs. 911 GT3, Which Is The Better Autocross Car?

<p>There are many cars out there that have the potential to be monsters in an Autocross course. Porsche’s 911 series, is one of them. That being said, unlocking the full potential of the 911 requires a driver that is experienced and skilled. Otherwise, even the mighty $185,000 Porsche 911 GT3 would end up being humbled by the $58,000 Tesla Model 3 Performance. </p> <p>This exact concept was depicted in a recent video from Brooks Weisblat of YouTube’s DragTimes channel. In a recent upload, Weisblat opted to pit a Porsche 911 GT3 against a Tesla Model 3 Performance in an Autocross course. Looking at the specs and prices of the two vehicles, it seems like the Autocross course should be a shoe-in for the GT3. Still choosing the GT3 regardless of performance. No GT3 customer would be considering a Model 3 unless they are looking for a daily driver electric Corolla.

Maybe we should be making real comparisons like a Taycan customer choosing between a GT3 and a Taycan or Model S P100.

A Model 3 performance weighs 1,000 lbs more than a GT3. And, unlike the Taycan, the Model 3's performance diminishes as the battery drains.

The 3 can put out a few good laps, then it's goodbye.

Another stupid as hell comparo. The Porsche will kill the Tesla, especially after a few laps. And the top heavy Tesla stands no chance on a racetrack against any 992.
