WATCH: Tesla Model S P100D Vs Ferrari F12 - Who Walks Away The Victor At The Track?

In this very brief video clip from ICSI, we see the Tesla Model S P100D race the Ferrari F12. The cars have almost nothing in common aside from excellent acceleration. The $700,000 F12 can hit 60 mph in just under 3 seconds. A new Model S Performance will cost you less than $100,000, and its zero-to-60-mph time comes in at 2.3 seconds.

The Tesla Model S P100D is one of the quickest production cars ever made. The crazy part is that Tesla upgrades its range and performance on a regular basis. Yes, this car gets better while you own it, via over-the-air software updates. The current version – the Tesla Model S Performance – is a better overall performance than the P100D, which was already tough to top.

Who the hell cares? The F car is in a different league from a Tesla. Talk about a worthless comparison.

Yes electric cars are faster than ICE cars, quit comparing apples to oranges. A Ferrari F12 buyer will never look at a Model S when looking to purchase a super car. Most people would still choose the Ferrari (money not being an option). The Ferrari is a dream car for most, the Model S not so much. If you were comparing a Mercedes E Class, BMW 5 Series or AUDI A6 with the Model S then I would most likely choose the Tesla.

The 5.0 Foxstangs were faster than some exotics of the day like the Ferrari 308, but somehow I'm not thinking cross shopping occurred.

"The Ferrari is a dream car for most, the Model S not so much."

It's funny you mention that. Ahem: https://manofmany.com/rides/cars/americas-top-dream-cars-ranked-by-state

I don't see any Ferrari's on the list, looks like the Model S is the top dream car closely followed by the Ford Mustang.

@SanJoseDriver you saw the cars on the list. Those "dream vars" are regular cars anyone afford. Not a single "super car" or "hyper car". The list in the article is based on cars regular people can purchase NOT the same "dream cars" most of us grow up dreaming about and having posters in our room when we were kids.

No one dreams of a Tesla over a Ferrari. No one.

I would gladly take a Roadster 2.0 over any Ferrari.
