hares of Tesla opened on Wednesday at new highs, crossing $1000 per share as investors weighed in on rumors of the Tesla Semi’s initial production push.

An email from Elon Musk circulated early Wednesday morning, indicating that Tesla’s focus would be to get the Semi to “volume production.”

“It’s time to go all out and bring the Tesla Semi to volume production,” Musk said. “It’s been in limited production so far, which has allowed us to improve many aspects of the design.”

Better if it does a 4 way split and reduces the price allowing for more retail investors to hold this stock in their portfolios. I have never understood the rationale to let a stock climb to that sort of price.

33x return for me, but I think it will be really volatile this year. Q2 could be especially rough, overall demand seems down ($2k discount on Model 3, Model Y is part of referral program already). I'm not planning to sell any stock, but know it will be a roller-coaster ride.

People are looking too hard for the next Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon....when it comes down to it Tesla is in the low margin, high fixed cost auto business. Sell now and buy back when it tanks.
