Is it different enough to be news worthy? I suppose so since it's still new tech. The electric motor is on the actual exhaust driven turbocharger in the Mercs case while Audi uses a separate motor downstream. Exact same concept but implemented differently.

Audi's implementation makes far more sense to the point of being genius, while the Mercedes implementation is complication for the sake of complication.
