CAR WARS! 2021 BMW M5 vs. 2021 Audi RS6 Avant? If You HAD To Choose, WHICH One Makes It Into YOUR Garage?

The 2021 BMW M5 went live this week and the 2021 Audi RS6 Avant wagon configurator is live on the Audi site (click read article link to see it), as of our last visit.

In days of old this comparison would have been an EASY choice. The Audi would have gotten chewed up and spit out.

But today, our guess is this comparison would not only be much closer but MAYBE even won by the Audi WAGON.

Why, well many reasons we're hoping you'll call out in the comments but the main one is because IT'S DIFFERENT and more RARE.

Hands down the BMW. Despite all of BMW's missteps, BMWs are still better drivers than the FWD biased Audis. Life is too short to drive a German Oldsmobile station wagon. Moreover, no one in the real world will know that the RS6 Avant (1) is even a "thing" or (2) that it is special in any way.

While I think the M5 is 25% overpriced as is the EAMG, both are so much better than the Audi Avalon.

I lived the German build quality from 2000-2008 and I would not go back. There is a YouTube channel at a Porsche dealer that shows all the warranty and repair work being done. Window switches in a new Macan that don't work. Water coming in from the roof rail bolt holes on a Cayenne. Transmission issues. It boggles the mind considering what these vehicles cost that there should be these problems. I'll stick with #TOYOTA

This is why I say "lease don't buy" when it comes to German. Toyota/Lexus rocks quality hands down. The fact that a nose-picker Yaris has better quality than an Audi is astounding.

@MD- Correct. My mistake was buying it out after the lease as I was very happy with the car and the spec. Between years 5-7 it fell apart.

I do not know how you can compare ANY Toyota to the Two other vehicles mentioned. TOYOTA simply does belong in the same sentence

All my respect to the RS6,witch is the more practical one, but nothing Beats the M5's presence and capabilities in it's class.
