That short wheelbase on the 2 door is a significant advantage off roading. I remember once while stationed in Germany we were on the far side of the Fliegerhorst airfield driving through some of the old bomb craters from WW II (stupid I know) in a 1950s ish Jeep when we came up on a giant triangular pile of logs maybe 12-15ft high. What would you expect a couple of kids in a jeep to do. Yes it made it over the top and the logs did not all come tumbling down. I don't think too many vehicles could have done that but the Jeeps short wheelbase popped right over the top. That short wheelbase and narrow track as well were great for those German forests. After that we pinned a medal on ourselves and proceeded back through the large bomb craters and across to the active side of the base.

The irony is that in real life I'd set you up quite nicely in one. I seriously doubt we will have any one the lot for quite a while after they go to dealers. We've got a significant number of reservations that will sop up our allotment. Have you done a deposit with anyone?

I'm sure that's true.

I haven't put down a deposit, and I know they'll likely be sold out right away. I want to see it first, and figure out exactly what I want - I don't need to be the one of the first people to get one.
