And it AIN'T pretty...so with no further ado, please shield your eyes.

The Discovery looks like a Saab reject. The photoshopper (sic) is also very unimaginative.

THe fact is - nobody knows how the mix of vehicle is going to work out over the next few years. But a number of Manufacturers have essentially dropped the sedan that were the basis of the market for decades - but even though they are not all selling well - they still sell in huge numbers.

Crossovers were once SUV designs placed on the platforms of Regular cars - and for the most part still are - because Manufacturers wanted to reduce the number of platforms they use for their line-up - so using what are now basically Crossover platforms for cars at least gives those manufacturers option in case the sedan market heats up again. And eventually gas prices will have to go up too.

While it is unlikely for sedans to quickly return- the big three are now small truck manufacturers - with the Full size Pick-ups leading their lineups -which is why they make so much money- Volume is king again. Eventually - the younger buyer that is buying trucks will become the older buyer who buys Toyota and Lexus that fit in their garage. TIme passes quickly.

The fact is that they do know how the mix is going to work out.

Each generation moves on to stake out their own automotive turf...not my fathers's Oldsmobile, not my father's station wagon, not my father's sedan will be followed by not my father's SUV. Electric obviously the next big thing.

Maybe I didn't read the fine print, but when was it the mandate of Autospies to bring up the worst car stuff on the internet? News, Spy Shots, Developments, Car Shows, Car Tech, Sales, Recalls etc... But goofy drawings too?

Actually - the advent of the TESLA was basically the end of real AUTO reporting at Auto Spies. For some reason - we all have our ideas why - even the smallest thing brings a reason to mention that company in a post. For a while - it was actually the news - now it is just boring pandering to an ego maniac - that pretty much makes AUTOSPIES a secondary source at best for good auto journalism

It is now simply falling into the trap of fake news - and I rarely read any post that mentions Tesla in its title - and often stop reading ones that mention Tesla in their body. And some of the posts have been so far gone - that it has convinced me to look elsewhere more often and spend less time here.

Considering how good Autospies once was - it is a shame.
