Or is it as simple as how we called it when we first saw it. THERE WAS NOT A CHANCE ON EARTH IT WOULD BE SUCCESSFUL. EVER.

Fly-by-night EV companies pop up and people crow about how the established manufacturers will die by the end of the year at the sheer force of impact wrought by a company with ZERO engineering experience and without the funds to properly design, engineer, and do extensive endurance testing via prototypes.
