With its incredible reputation for straight-line acceleration, Thomas and James put the 2020 C8 Corvette up against the established drag race king: the Dodge Demon. The Demon costs a whole bunch more money and has a ton more horsepower, so this is insane. But hey, its YouTube. And things don't always go as predicted.

Like always, the Dodge is way too heavy. The Vette has superior weight transfer and acceleration out of the hole.
Roll racing is irrelevant and for those who can't deal with a real drag race.

Having been brought up within earshot of Raceway Park - and we also had an early Nascar Track nearby as well - Racing was always sheer power. However - those days just like the Raceway - are gone as they were. There really is no comparison between an up to date Chassis and one designed by Large now extinct reptiles.

These guys are more annoying than Doug DeMoron.

The Challenger is a nightmare to launch and over time, the back end breaks because FCA is too cheap to install a metal bracket that would probably cost them ten dollars. The old Mercedes taxi cab chassis was not designed for Hellcat/Demon power.
