WHAT IF RAM Brought THIS Over As The Ram 700 Compact Pickup?
In America, bigger usually means better, and that's never more true than for the pickup truck. It's why the Ford F-150 and Ram 1500 are such massive sellers. But what about the buyer who wants a more affordable, smaller workhorse that isn't a chore to cram into the garage? Yes, there is the Ford Ranger, but we're talking even smaller.

In other parts of the world, there are many options, such as the all-new Fiat Strada sold in Brazil and badged elsewhere as the Ram 700. And, because even owners of compact trucks are fans of customization, Mopar has come up with more than 50 accessories for the tiny truck that makes us realize what we're missing out on.

With Toyota selling 250k Tacoma's a year in the USA, it is beyond silly that each of the Big 3 don't each focus on this market. FCA should definitely have a mid size truck to sell in the USA. And as @MD- accessories are pure profit with likely a 50 point margin.

the US big 3 are too drunk off the profits from their large truck/SUV sales to get really serious about the mid-size truck market again. but it would be an easy/smart way to capture/contain/retain brand fanatics that's ready to give up their sedans/minivans & don't want an SUV or their big-ass large trucks.

Marchionne and Manley are morons. The Cherokee should have been turned into a Comanche 5 years ago.

@MD-Yep. I remember seeing those back in the day... Makes perfect sense.

We flip XJ Cherokees and Comanches (when we can get them) and they are pure money makers.

The Santa Cruz could be huge. The Courier is coming. Dodge needs this. [Ram needs to be folded back into Dodge because 74% of Ram owners think they drive a "Dodge Ram".]
