Audi Teases New Q4 Sportback E-Tron - Could THIS Be The Magic They Are Looking For?
Audi's all-electric e-tron range continues to grow, combining the brand's legendary quality and premium design with punchy powertrains that won't hurt the planet. But considering that the e-tron Sportback starts at nearly $80,000, it's hardly accessible to a broad audience. Enter the smaller Q4 Sportback e-tron Concept, which Audi has just teased via a 20-second clip that reveals quite a lot of detail in that short space of time. Like the Q4 e-tron which is Audi's equivalent to the Volkswagen ID.4 that leaked a few days ago, the Q4 Sportback e-tron Concept should be a lot more affordable than the bigger e-tron.

The mouth is too big still but it's a step in the right direction. Still ugly, but far less so than current Audis. The lights are too high up. $80K? Lease a Tesla.

I agree. At that price I'd take the Tesla.

Y'all can't read can you. $80K is the price of the larger e-tron. This is the Q4 e-tron which is supposed to be smaller and more affordable. Look at it targeting the Model Y instead of the Model X/S.

Jeffy, I know how Audi prices work. It may start in the vicinity of the Model Y, but by the time you add your usual packages and options it will be $70,000 or more.

OK, I may need to apologize to Audi. Perhaps they've improved since the last time I priced something out. I just configured an e-Tron on their web site, and I only hit $82,240. I was expecting it to get close to 100k. So perhaps they will price the Q4 well enough that that even well optioned it will stay in the low $60s.

Then of course there is the 30% price cut because no one buys Audis. LOL

I would pay money not to drive a Tesla, but I can do that for free.

Is it true that even the electric Audis suffer from cripplingly expensive timing chain repair costs and oil sludge?
