Do These BMW Colors Get You HOT Or Do These Examples Leave You COLD?
Even though I haven't owned a BMW in a while I always stop in to the dealerships to look at the latest models. And I especially like the dealers that stock the unique colors.
So when the Spies saw this cornucopia of unique samples at BMW of Encinitas, we had to get some snaps and show them off to you to get your opinion.
Even though some look like old BMW colors we got used to like Daytona Violet, all of these are new iterations with new names.
And if you're like us, we LOVE the unique names they choose.
So here's the list of names of the samples we're showing:
Velvet Blue
Toronto Red
Vermont Bronze
Storm Bay
Brands Hatch Grey Metallic
So tell us your thoughts. HOT or NOT? And would you choose any of these for YOUR BMW if you were/are in market?

Come on BMW get these designs together, just when I think I can tolerate the front of the car, the rear end blinds me with it’s horrific angles/disproportions...
The 235i at the end is absolutely tragic and may actually be worst looking than a Pontiac Aztec...RIP

Hey—when did the BMW kidney grille morph into a Kia knock-off?

I'm liking the grey blueish colour -Storm Bay? Kinda different and low key but not big on current BMW design language. We need more colour in our cars from the standard issue silver, grey, black, whites that are so predominant these days (coming from the guy who has a metallic black and pearl white cars :-/ )...

I love BMW's customer colors. I also love how BMW names colors after famous race tracks -
Imola Red, Yas Marina Yellow, Interlagos Blue - highlight in an asperational fashion the race tracks where BMW's have paricipated in track days or else in race series.
I thought - why can't all BMW's be named for the notable environments that they spend time in?
As my 2018 Imperial Blue/Zagora Beige 750i was taken away by a 'Rapid Recovery" flatbed to BMW of the Hamptons..after I found a large puddle of intercooler coolant on the floor of my garage...(two new intercoolers and a new radiator under warranty!)

I thought...How about a new color choice memorializing the franchised towing/flatbed operators in the major US metro areas.
I'm getting my next BMW in "Rapid Recovery Red"! Maybe I'll get towing priority!

I prefer non metallic colors...softer, deeper, richer looking. White, Nardo gray, etc

Personally I hate the dumb names automakers dream up for paint colours. Just call it Blue. Light Blue, Dark Blue, Royal Blue. Stick to the real names.

The Storm Bay or whatever, does look good. Everything else is just mainstream
