Are YOU ON OR OFF The 'TRUMP CRANE' When It Comes To Business Regulations? Specifically, In Autos.
Donald Trump turns the White House into a rally venue again by posing under a Trump-branded crane to boast about 'deregulating' showers, dishwashers and lightbulbs and rant against Joe Biden claiming he will 'abolish the suburbs'

-Event staged on the South Lawn of the White House included a large crane and two Chevy pickup trucks
-Trump blasted regulations including those that govern shower-heads and dishwashers
-Claims people that do dishes run the machine three times
-You take a shower, the water does not come out'
-Also complained people run dishwashers three consecutive times
-Says he brought back 'old fashioned incandescent light bulbs'
-Said his plans will protect suburbs from being 'obliterated by Washington'

As he extolled the benefits of regulatory cuts, Trump repeatedly attacked rival Joe Biden as he did at an hour-long event in the White House Rose Garden Wednesday, drawing howls from critics for the use of the taxpayer-funded building.

Thursday's event featured two new Chevy pickup trucks – one red, and one blue. A crane with a 'Trump Administration' banner had three weights suspended over the red truck, with three weights stacked in the blue truck in prop meant to illustrate the burden of regulation.

So tell us, which side are YOU on when it comes to business regulations, specifically in autos.

What a grotesque display on a day that the US registered over 70K new COVID cases. The most EVER.

The EU, with over 400 million people, registered less than 15k new cases.

Can't wait for this orange tornado of failure to get his fat ass kicked out of the White House.

Thankfully it won't be long now.

Sounds to me like EU citizens know how to exercise personal responsibility. People want to point fingers but until we take responsibility for our own actions as US citizens, nothing will get done. This goes for covid and a host of other hot button topics dominating the news. Wash your hands, keep your distance and wear a mask. Its pretty simple and the government shouldn’t have to hold your hand. Don’t want to get hit by a car? don’t play in traffic. It’s quite simple. Or... we just blame trump/obama/bush because that’s the easy thing to do.. To your point, Trump won’t be in office for long. Maybe a few months, maybe 4 years. No matter the timeline, people will continue to be stupid.

Cases mean NOTHING. The death rate per capita has plummeted.

Totally Agree, The Big Orange Baboon is a DISGRACE to America, EMBARRASSING us on the world stage with his piss poor leadership.

The Big Orange Pussy has painfully Almost completed his 1st term and still too much of a coward to reveal his financial records TOTAL FRAUD, needs to grow some balls and stop acting like a bitch

He is going to do to America what he did to all his bankrupt companies, simply abandon them when he gets in over his head and waves the white bankruptcy flag surrendering...pathetic

Hell perhaps if Trump had some black in him, he’d be able to keep Melania satisfied and wouldn’t have to force her to sign an NDA from writing a tell all like his other baby mamas after the child support dries up, and she’d actually want to live under the same roof as him....bud I digress

Considering that question was about the elimination of excessive regulations and the over reaching of government bureaucrats.

Absolutely Trump has done a better job at addressing this issue than any President in history. Keep going, more and faster. Let the market decide if they want EVs, not Government Bureacrats That feel it’s their job to Save the World.

Runninglogan, Covid cases are meaningless. Over half the people infected have no symptoms at all.

The key is the number of deaths per day, which has decreased dramatically in the U.S. since the peak this spring. I suggest you educate yourself by reading actual WHO and CDC statistics every day instead of being misled by media which has a clear agenda.

Anyway, shouldn't the market decide which products are best, instead of the govt telling us what we can buy? If you believe in the latter method, why shouldn't the govt prohibit all clothing sizes XL and bigger in order to discourage obesity?

The reality is we are doing better in the world in testing. More testing, more cases. Then there is China and Russia who hide their real situation.

I do think the regulatory regime needs constant attention and clean up. There are often overlapping and contradictory regulations, or out dated regulations and such. I don't think you deregulate just to deregulate as we need them to keep our water clean, keep people safe, ensure business operate fairly etc... Thus you need responsible regulations and responsible people going through them.

Regulators regulate, but often at the expense of business and economic growth. Small businesses in particular find navigating regulations in an effort to hire people and invest in their businesses growth to be nonsensical, adding an extra expense burden and slow down growth initiatives. Too many bureaucrats are unaware of what it takes to run a business. Granted regulations are needed to protect consumers and the environment from abusive behavior but are often instituted by bureaucrats with an agenda exercising control for self serving reasons.

The regulations that are truly needed are ones on politicians and bureaucrats, which if anyone actually followed the constitution as written, people would realize that it is NOT a restraint on the freedom of its citizens but a restraint on the actions of the Government.
