WAY TOO LATE? Chevrolet Reveals Plans With No Details For A 400 Mile EV Pickup

Chevrolet has just revealed that its future plans call for a 400-mile electric pickup truck. Details are sparse, but this truck will challenge the Ford F-150 electric, Tesla Cybertruck, Rivian R1T and more.

News of this electric truck from Chevy comes via the release of its annual sustainability report. Within that 2019 report which was just released yesterday, there's some new info on Chevy's electric truck.

if you think GM has (only) been working on a mainstream Bolt 5-door & a Hummer EV, then you have really been paying attention to GM for the past 5-10 years. GM, Ford, VW have had the capability to build a Tesla S & 3 competitor...it just hasn't been economically beneficial for the type of vehicles their target consumers are accustomed to. Now that the market has shifted to a more mature & heavily-weighted truck/SUV/EV oriented trend, the time is right to continue developing actual vehicle options to battle Tesla.

If that were true, we would have seen hybridization 10 years ago. And I'm not talking about the pointless mild hybrids. GM will fail at EVs because they rush to production and then figure things out, kinda like Tesla.
