Should Car Companies Bring Back Cool Fabric And Other Interior Materials Instead Of JUST Leathers?
I love a nicely done leather interior in vehicles so don't take this the wrong way.

Aren't you as BORED as I am with the choices companies offer in 2020?

Here are your choices. Plain cloth. Leather. Luxury leather. Bespoke (Gosh, I HATE that word) leather.

But as I look at the cars I've loved over the years and cars that people customize I wish these companies would add some sizzle back into the game. Beautiful leather is nice in say a Porsche 911 but give me the Houndstooth cloth combo for mine?

What about those cool aqua, shiny vinyls you see in the old mustangs?

All though it wasn't publicized much (one random photo) the new Bronco showed a cool two tone cloth (can't tell the quality of it from the pic)

And if you love unique interiors, you'll love this Porsche video showing of some of the coolest old cars and fancy fabrics.

Tell us, where do you stand on leather/versus quality use of cloth fabrics?

Definitely. Leather is terrible. It's slippery and hot. When available I always order the cloth interior.

I'm a fan of the synthetic Tesla uses theses days. It's way more comfortable than the Napa Leather used on the first gen cars. Perhaps not as comfortable as a high end Lexus or MB, but pretty good and super easy to clean. If you don't know you can't really tell it's not leather.

Those cloth seats on the Bronco look great.

Rather go in the direction of different types of leathers, wild boar, ostrich, snake, lizard or alligator trim etc.

The cloth seats in my GTI almost make up for not having ventilated seats. Cloth done right is very comfortable, and could easily support ventilation as well.

There is nothing cooler than a GTI with with seats with a plaid insert. Very old school Autobahn interior.

Leather is much easier to clean, but when you live in a place where it can be above 90 degrees for 6 months of the year, leathers is not ideal

Little concerned about"Marine Grade Vinyl" on a hot summer day.

I loathe leather seating surfaces of any type. I will never buy a leather couch. And yes, I want better options for car interiors. My favorite seating material was on my '99 Pathfinder LS. It wasn't dirt/dust collectors like some upholstered interiors, but it was comfortable, felt really good, looked really good and didn't get that dirty.
