LAYING DOWN THE CHALLENGE. TELL Us WHICH Car, SUV or Truck Has WORSE Tail Lights Than These On The Bentley Bentayga?

Many things that happen in the car business are pretty predictable.

But some things mystify us BEYOND belief.

Let's use the example of the Bentley Bentayga and Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

One would THINK that when you design two of the MOST expensive SUV's EVER, making them desirable to look at might be high on the list.

But not with these two. There is no other way to say it but they are two of the UGLIEST exterior designs in all my years following this business. The Bentley more so than the Rolls, but the Cullinan is NOT far behind.

Both of them hideous. First time I saw both I thought it was a joke.

We can debate the total looks for hours but for now how about we call out just ONE item?

The taillights on the Bentley facelift that was spied.

We dare you to produce an example of a product that has WORSE looking ones than these.

So what you're saying is that if the Bentiguan is rockin' there may be some knockin' going on but not necessarily from inside the vehicle.

I don't think you have to look too far to notice how bad the rear end is on a new C8. As for this very simple rear tail light design, it was to be expected. They are on the Continental GT (with a chrome surround) and will appear on other models in the future. With the shape of the hatch you can't really go with square lights. Something like this is really your best option.

@MD- So many brands are doing that now it has become commonplace. I hate it on 911's. Bentley needs to be different.

Looks like nobody can think of one that looks worse :). Must be pretty bad! I think a full width or a contrasting panel on the rear ala Mustang helps to visually trick you into seeing a smaller rear end. So many cars have missive rears they need to come up with some new styling tricks.
