2021 Lexus LC 500 Convertible Arrives In Showrooms With A $102,000 Price Tag
The 2021 Lexus LC 500 Convertible is arriving in dealerships across the United States just in time for the summer.

Unveiled at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show, the LC 500 Convertible is more than just the open-top variant of the Lexus LC coupe. Lexus engineers enhanced its structural rigidity courtesy of an all-new torsion box at the rear, while a new suspension tower brace and V-brace are said to improve handling stability and linear responsiveness.

The LC is a great $75K car, but not $100K. An LCF could be $100K, but not the basic car.

Lexus has it placed wrong and the abysmal sales reflect that placement.

It does have that show car looks, but yea it is too expensive for the base car... $75k sounds about right, convertible starting in low to mid 80s.

The LC's only selling point to me would be reliability, or perceived reliability. The Jaguar F-Type R Convertible can be had for about the same price, 575 HP, much better performance, 3x's the cargo area granted without the vestigial "rear seats", and, IMO better looking.

The LC is unnecessarily long with minimal secured cargo room. Its seating position is impossibly low. It's heavy without the added space.

This should be priced alongside the Benz E53 Cabriolet, at around $82K. The Benz has fewer HP but is just as quick, 2x the cargo area, somewhat real back seats, gets better fuel economy, and with AMG styling, is subjectively great looking.

True, not as ubiquitous as, say, 911
Just saw one in the golf course, and it's really sharp

$100K LCs routinely sell with steep discounts. Ask for $20-25K off and you'll probably get it.

Beautiful but overpriced as others have mentioned. Maybe with a $20k discount and strong lease, it will sell well. One of the comments on the Carscoops article mentioned you could buy this or a C8 AND a Bronco for that same $100k. I know my answer.

The LC’s exterior is beautiful. The interior is hideous. IMO that’s why it doesn’t sell. I’d be okay with the pricing if it had a better interior.

So the $20-25K price cuts to move cars that sit for 9-12 months is all due to the interior and not an iota to the price?
