STRAIGHT OUTTA PARIS: Audi CrossLane Coupe. IF They Built It, WOULD They Have Come?
Who misses the GINORMOUS traditional auto shows like Frankfurt, Paris, Geneva, etc. raise your hand.

You couldn't see but we all did here at Auto Spies.

We miss the show floor energy, the anticipation, the personalities, the cities, EVERYTHING.

But for me Paris and Geneva were ALWAYS the best.

This Audi CrossLane Coupe concept popped back into my memory today and I decided to go back and look through the photos from the 2012 Paris Motor Show.

And you know what? I'm kinda shocked they never built this. I mean how could you go wrong with a small good looking crossover? And that INTERIOR! Who could say no to THAT?

So while we can't shoot a big show for you during this crazy time, we CAN go through our over ONE MILLION photos in our archives and reminisce. And think what COULD have been.

Tell us Spies should Audi have built this? Would it have been a sales success for them?

Love the out-of-the-box thinking.

This is pretty neat. They would probably need to build a 4 door version as well to make it worthwhile though.

Nissan called and asked for their Murano CrossCabriolet Back from a decade ago

This would have been brilliant as an entry-level Audi.

VW should ask Ford for their Bronco platform. Build a sport-luxury street-oriented Audi version in the US - using 3-4 VW/Audi engine options.

It could easily be used for a G-wagen competitor.

As a concept, it's pretty nifty. Yes, I said nifty.

As a potential production model, too many questions on structural rigidity, practicality (can only take top off with 2 passengers), safety, and price for such a small vehicle. But, again, still nifty.
