WATCH: YouTuber Destroys 2020 C8 Corvette Engine Trying To Get More Horsepower
When equipped with the optional Z51 package the big 6.2-liter V8 can churn out 495 hp and 470 lb. ft. (637 Nm) which pushes the 2020 C8 Corvette to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds. More than enough for the casual user – but decidedly too little for the enthusiast crowd. Of course, with the Vette’s innate popularity, preparing a custom build is also an effective way to make yourself well known on social media.

Emelia Hartford was quite the car aficionado socialite even before she took delivery a few months ago of her 2020 C8 Chevrolet Corvette - but let us be honest and say her popularity took off even faster afterward.

If you've got more money than brains, destroy an engine or two.

From the statements in the video, the engine and the transmission were not designed to be tuned. Maybe the Z06 5.5L motor will be stronger. Having to put in better rods and pistons is expensive work.

Then ask how competent are the people doing to mods to do them effectively?

@MD-Fair question. You get more views blowing up the engine vs having it all go perfectly. But cracking a piston from your first pull, is not a good sign. I would even wonder about that for regular C8 owners.

Is that a nose or a rudder?

Agree with that and maybe with YouTube views she made money on the blown engine. I could be wrong.

Pushing the envelop ... sometimes means you break things. They seem enthusiastic and at least pretty competent. Should be a fun rebuild and as they said, make it stronger.

Apparently the pull they did with the twin turbo mod bent several connecting rods in the engine. They did not break a chunk off of a piston. Don't mod this engine.

When you throw turbos on an engine NOT designed for turbos, you get breakage.
