A 14-year-old received a creative punishment from his parents after they discovered that he had taken out their Range Rover without permission and gone on a dangerous joyride.

"I just wanted to drive but I don't have a license so I just took it," Angel Martinez said.

"I can wash the car, and I was like I don't have anything to dry it, so I'm gonna take it for one spin until it dries," he explained.

Leaving a 14 year old kid alone in the house while you go away vacation is likely the first mistake. An adult should be present. The kid is obviously not too bright. I would push any move to start getting a drivers license back to age 18. He may have improved by then.

I used to sneak my parents car out for a spin at 13 when they went on vacation but my Dad would memorize his odometer so I would have to disconnect the speedo. Good times!
