The Fastest Selling Vehicles During The Pandemic? You Aren't Going To Believe This List

Buyers looking for car deals during this pandemic are entering what most would consider a “seller’s market.” New and used car inventory is shrinking and our friends at iSeeCars.com compiled the models that sell the quickest. Some of these cars may not be what you expect.

Now it’s important to note that the sales data for these models were primarily taken from a pre-COVID sales period as iSeeCars.com explains:

The list is a mixture of cars that are red-hot sellers on their own, others that are red-hot because of money on the hood, and an anomaly. The Lexus GX is a cash cow because even with a steep discount, there is still a big profit in it. The Telluride and Palisade sell themselves and often at or near list price.

But, the larger the slice of the market that a vehicle has, the less likely it will be on this list because the number quoted is an average derived from the average sales rate of the stock on hand. Thus, fast-sellers like the F150, Ram, and Silverado aren't there because the average for the inventory is longer despite massively bigger sales.

The anomaly is the Trailblazer which has been around for 5 minutes. Its inventory is tiny. Thus, the average is seemingly amazing.

The fact that a German made the list, and a German that is owning both the high end with Maybach/AMG and posing a threat at the low end with A and GLB class vehicles is impressive, Benz still has not heard of Covid19 LOL

Hyundai/Kia are not playing any games, the Telluride is exposing any half assed attempts at family SUVs by rivals and taking over a family’s driveway near you

The Telluride continues to make an impact. Inventory levels continue to be scarce as they are essentially in and out of dealerships as they are delivered. Granted, the dealership near me says they continue to only get a small allocation but they really cant' keep them on the lot. I wish they would make a 2-row version with the Kia's twin turbo engine. Oh, wait, that's going to be the GV80.

The GV80 and Telluride are not related, but the Telluride and Sorento are. Your two-row Telluride could be a Sorento (the nice new one).

The Telluride is selling so well that tight availability has primed the pump on the initially slow-selling Palisade and now word is getting out that it too is excellent.

What's also getting out is just how terrible the Explorer is. Ford may need to do a full reskin, massive upgrade, and change its name to Fairlane because the stench of the new Explorer is growing.

But the Sorrento is standard 3-row. Plus a friend has had reliability nightmares with her Sorrento.

Hmm...yes indeed the two row is not available anymore, but you'd probably want to remove the 3rd row in a Sorento anyway.

Car4life1, that's an interesting take on MB. I guess in the Kung Flu world a 17.2% sales drop is actually a sales increase. Who knew!!

Right when your rivals and most manufacturers do 30-50% drops that 17 looks like a dream hahaha!
