Toyota Considers Building Street Legal Ultra Exclusive GR Super Sport Hypercar
If the world hadn’t been going through this terrible pandemic, we would’ve got the chance to witness brand new hypercars roaring down the Mulsanne straight at Le Mans. For now, the race has been schedule for September 19, 2020. If everything goes well, Toyota will race its GR Super Sport hypercar.

As per the new regulations, teams will have the option of designing and building a prototype in the shape of hypercar from the ground up or they can base their race car on an existing production car. If they choose the latter, then the rules require them to build at least 20 road cars of the said model over a period of 2 years. Toyota has gone with the second option and will be building a road car as well.

With LFA's still not sold out after years since introduction is the market really ready for a second go by Toyota into upper market segment...don't think so. Pay your enthusiasts' dues, earn your street creed building some great drivers' cars in the 35K to 100k as a bridge before going for higher end.

Kill the GT86 and the Supra. Replace them with a Celica that is sized, priced, and performs like a Mustang.

This is your chance to buy a car made for Le Mans. Not to everyone' taste but I am pretty sure they can sell 20 of them. In terms of motorsports purity, it is hard to get better than this. $2.4M Quid and it's yours.
