CAR WARS! Cadillac LYRIQ vs. Audi e-tron. IF They Were Side By Side At The Dealer, WHICH Would Get YOUR $$$?
We know the Cadillac LYRIQ is a way out but seeing it's the weekend and we're all supposed to be having fun let's play this game...

As we peruse the web the LYRIQ I would say on balance is getting mostly positive compliments. It's a little RX gone wrong in the rear but overall it's a pleasant although not game changing design.

But at LEAST, it's FRESH. NEW, UNIQUE.

Over to the Audi e-tron...

It's a more conservative, traditional, German wagon design. Like an All-Road 2.0

So our question is simple....If They Were Side By Side At The Dealer, WHICH Would Get YOUR $$$?

Lyriq. Easy.

Ask me again in three years when the Lyriq goes on sale.

LYRIQ hands down.

Cadillac sure, but it's an irrelevant question.

What's the market going to look like when it eventually comes out?

How much will GM trash and cheapen the interior?

And this may be a longshot, but I wouldn't rule it out, we need to see if GM winds up cancelling it.

agreed.

final production design for the exterior & interior?
confirmed average driving range at production?
confirmed equivalent hp/trq at production?
final sale pricing at production?
will the GMC Hummer have proven their Ultium battery tech is viable? competitive? transferable & widely marketable for their other brands?

what will Audi have when the Lyriq hits the streets/production in 2022?
what will Lincoln have in 2022?

Agree and while the Audi is based off an ICE platform that could change in 3-4 years. "IF" they put out a new model say in 4 years off an new EV platform that means Audi will have over a decade and 3 Gen's experience while GM is just showing up. This Liq-me needs to be out in 12-18mos or less or the buzz is going to fizzle. Also my last GM car (2013) was recalled 7X in the 3yrs I had it with crappy Cadillac Cust Svc. The new Vette is now being recalled... I just think GM is losing it... they simply cannot get anything right... I doubt I'll ever go near a GM dealer again... and its entirely their fault....

Hands down the Cadillac. It has presence and gravitas that a premium vehicle should have. It looks genuinely new. The Audi is a shitty mess by comparison.

Cadillac needs to get it to market as unchanged as possible, as on price point as possible, and as soon as possible. They really need to try to beat December 2022.

Caddy for me as this is a looker when almost every electric vehicle these days is hideous looking for some bizarre reason except the Model S. I hope GM builds it as is but am doubtful that will happen with all the parts bin sharing and cheapness of their product line.

I'd love to see a Cadillac coupesedan EV for 50-70K off this platform. I'd also love a Thunderbird coupesedan off the Mach E over at Ford.

Without knowing prices for the Caddie, I can't say for certain, but the LYRIQ most likely.

Cadillac is weird looking and hard on the eyes.

e-tron. It's a thirsty bugger, but for VW/Audi's first ground up EV it's not too shabby at all, fast charging all the way up, strong regen, refined rattle-free quiet interior. GM/Cadillac looks old, behind the times.

Lyriq and I am NOT a an of any current Cadillac product. Looks modern, distinct, and has a beautiful interior. I honestly haven't read much on anticipated specs, but based on design, easily the Lyriq.

What a ridiculous comparison. Betcha when Lyriq is released in 2-3 years (will be stale by then), it will be stripped down and by then Audi would have a much nicer E-tron!!!

Based on Audi's trajectory with recent designs/launches, I doubt that.

and you might be right regarding Cadillac stripping down the Lyriq, but we shall see.

By the time Cadillac releases this, the next Audi electric suv will have far better range and power. Cadillac, you are always years behind. Best of luck
