Reddit user u/quarm813 recently posted a story on the r/TeslaMotors subreddit. As you can see from the images, his Tesla Model S is obliterated. It was hit by a semi, which ended up sending the semi's bumper right through the Tesla's windshield. YouTuber Rich Rebuilds posted a comment and a brief video revealing the Tesla on Twitter.

If this was a Model X, the 'Falcon Doors' would have flown open and the occupants may very well have been ejected from the Vehicle based on the Pennsylvania crash footage posted a week ago.

Driving a car without 'Falcon Doors' may have saved the operators' life.

While I do not doubt the structure of a Tesla S, all sorts of folks have survived horrible accidents. Sometimes it's just plain luck.

Correct. A few more inches towards the driver it is a different story. The car helped as much as it could but luck is the major factor here. Sometimes it is far better to be lucky than good...
