Just Your Average $700k Ferrari 458 Speciale A In Supermarket Lot WAITING To Get DINGED
The Ferrari 458 Speciale A is the convertible version of the 458 Speciale, which is the track-focused, street-legal version of the Ferrari 458 Italia. The A stands for Aperta, meaning “open” in Italian. The Aperta is limited to only 499 units and even though it is 50kg heavier than the coupe version, it is not slower. Under the hood, everything stayed the same, so the 605PS naturally aspirated V8 accelerates the Speciale in exactly 3 seconds to 100km/h. The top speed of this roadster is reached at 320km/h. These facts result in the perfect fun car. It is extremely fast, very rare, looks breathtaking and you can take the roof down.
Spied sitting in a local supermarket parking lot WAITING for some idiot to DING it.
Would YOU take yours to the market and RISK that?

It's LA. Money is no object. I was just at Target and there was a $300k Lamborghini and a $200k Bentley. Then saw an an Aventador SVJ parked in a metered spot the street. There are tons of crazy cars parked outside all night, every night.

Haas to be a very liberating feeling to own a supercar but not worry if it gets dinged. I've been anal over some cars I owned torn between the exhilarating drives on the one hand and overly concerned about dings and dents to drive it as a daily. Sitting in the movie theater worrying about whose parking next to you is not fun. Having multiple cars is the answer but then you spend less time behind the car you really want to drive. Its one of the reasons the few but far between great driving cars in the $30k-$50k price range are so popular. Drive them anywhere enjoying your time behind the wheel, park them anywhere and never a worry.

It was parked next to that Capri, so obviously the owner did take some care.

Clearly not a true car guy, and just a person with too much money. A true car guy parks at the back of the lot, and it willing to take an extra 10 seconds to walk up to the store.

THere are two type of rich people who buy expensive cars
1 - There are ones who buy very rare beasts to put them in their collection that rarely get the wheels on the floor much less driven,
2 - THere are those that buy expensive cars to enjoy them as cars
ALthough I admit I do not drive as much as I did - I would not have my Ferraris if I did not regularly drive them. ANd if I need a gallon of milk at home -they will be in the parking lot while I am at the store more often than any of my other cars.
