WATCH: Owners Compare Acura NSX And C8 Corvette How Does American Brute Force Stand Up To Japanese Technology?

The Acura NSX and the C8 Corvette Stingray are two very different mid-engined performance cars and even though they are not direct competitors, YouTuber Speed Phenom recently had the opportunity to drive them back-to-back to see how they compare.

It has been a few years since the new-generation Acura NSX hit the market. While it hasn’t sold particularly well, it is still very impressive and packs one of the most complex hybrid powertrains of any current road car.

The NSX that nobody asked for. They would have be SOOO far ahead if they had just come to market with a TT V6 or V8 with the same power. Maybe a 4.0L. It would be cheaper, would not be 3800lbs and might have found more buyers.

Two amazing cars. Sure, price is a constraint with the NSX, but it's also a means to control demand. The Corvette has always been the "accessible" super sports car and this one is continuing that tradition, while risking any desire for exclusivity that many who buy supercars/exotic cars desire to have.

Just traded in my 2017 V12S Vantage on a C8 this morning. One third the price and when I drove the C8 it was very similar power and handling. A bit plasticy.

That is a huge change. That Vantage had to be awesome, what a nice piece of machinery. I bet the Corvette is nice too but nothing like that Aston.

The Corvette is the Corvette of supercars and is great at any price but unthinkably wonderful at its real price.
