Come SMELL The Excitement Of The Hyundai Palisade? Owners Finally Get Acknowledgement From Company That The FUNK Is REAL.
What do you think of your new Palisade? Well, other than it smells like a bad crack, I LOVE it!

Motor Biscuit is reporting...That “new car smell” isn’t supposed to smell like this. Owners say it is a combo of dirty socks and bad produce. Actually, they say it smells like something else but we won’t go there. After a few thousand miles of blissful driving, this “smell” starts wafting through the cabin of new Hyundai Palisade SUVs. Ugh! Who cut the cheese? Now Hyundai admits that their Palisade interiors smell like ****.

We don't think we've ever heard of this happening with a car, have you?

And now the Hyundai has admitted it's real, what do you think they should do?

Will it be #Katzkin leather to the rescue?

This is pretty much what people expect from Hyundai.

Hyundais used to have a very unique new car smell that was pretty terrible.

@MD- New car smell I get. But this is after a few thousand miles that it starts to come on. Could it be from the AC system? Choice of plastics? This is very odd and could be very costly for the firm. No easy fix.

@CC I remember when I first was around new car dealerships back when I was a teenager. Hyundai's new car smell was pretty rancid. They would open the doors of cars out in front of the dealer to let the cars air out. It has to be a plastics thing. The Palisade is made in Korea and the "identical" Telluride is built down south. There was no smell to it. I mentioned identical because they use identical subsystems like plastic ducts, but the parts are sourced differently owing to the different production locations. Could it be that the American supplier's plastic doesn't smell bad?

In the early days of the Japanese imports they had a distinct plasticy smell from their interiors. Much different than the new car smell Americans were used to. With stateside production it went away. These days a unique small is the Chinese cardboard odor in Harbor Freight.

Vette71: LMAO >>>> and to confirm Harbor Freight's high quality standards you will recall the recall on car jack stands and the replacements were recalled also.
