Buyer Beware: Consumers Losing Thousands On Fake Car Listings
Latrice Goodwin and her husband Antwon thought that they had found the car of their dreams, in what appeared to be an online eBay Motors listing. Instead they were conned out of $2,000.

Goodwin said she found the listing for a 2011 Honda Accord through the smartphone app OfferUp.

The car was listed for an extremely low sale price of $1,000 by a woman claiming to be in the Army, who allegedly lost her husband three months ago.

The buyer was a moron.

1. The price was too good to be true and whenever something is too good to be true...

2. "Pay me in Ebay gift cards." is a massive red flag that anyone with a brain would have refused to do because it's obviously shady.

3. When you can't see the car in person why are you buying it?

I've bought a couple of cars via Ebay but I am prepared to travel to see it and if the seller will not allow the car to be seen I refuse to consider it.

Beware of all eBay cars. Sellers of cars on eBay all suffer from blindness and are unable to represent their cars fairly or accurately.
