Have YOU Been HASSLED In Your Car At One Of The 'Peaceful' Protests? And Do You Have Any Advice For People That May Make The Wrong Turn?

I live in the boonies. We've had a few "protests" but they were peaceful. BLM would get their asses kicked it they tried to do here what they've done elsewhere. Everyone I know is armed to the teeth. There are as many pickup trucks as there are cars, maybe more. And we use our trucks.

I’ll join the protest against police brutality when they decide to do something about crime within their communities. It’s totally out of control and African Americans are responsible for more murders in a weekend in Chicago than wrongful police incidents in an entire year. Sure... let’s defund and remove police in urban communities. They will be war zones within a year (more than they are today). Eventually the black community will have to look internally at their own role in how the police treats people. All i hear is outrage and demands for respect without the promise to give the same respect in return. It isn’t a one way street and politicians won’t talk about it for fear of losing votes. It’s sad and will likely never be fixed.

You claim that officers are murdering African Americans at their leisure. Do you disagree about the problem within the community itself that is leading to some of this perceived police brutality? Do you know how many African Americans have been murdered by police in say the last two years? Have you compared those numbers to murder rates between citizens? As for the mass shooters, i’m all ears on how to stop. They disgust me and honestly... if white people treat police the way we see people behave in these videos, I’d have little to sympathy for them as well. I was raised to treat people with respect no matter the color and especially people with authority. If you want to see a protest, best to watch it on the news. Don't drive to see it, don't walk over to check it out. When the G20 came to Toronto a bunch of people who were protesting were Kettled (held in place) byt the police. 4hrs in fact and it had started to rain. In this group were people walking home from work trying to cut through the crowd. It isn't worth it. Avoid these situation at all costs. Make a donation instead.

Fund them but avoid them? Your funding a movement that you are too afraid to participate and stand with. Think about what you are saying and why.

When I go to Newport Beach I take the 405 rather than the 5 even though the 5 can actually be a faster route depending on the time of day. The 5 goes through some shit hole central places and these days I avoid those places.

Most of these "protests" are really arson, theft and assaults. I had the pleasure of seeing this up close. One thug fired a few shots at a neighbor right outside my and luckily missed. No reason for the shooting, just for fun. Wrong place at the wrong time.

No need to put "peaceful" in quotations.

If it truly is peaceful, then it's a protest. You won't see people getting dragged out of cars when that's happening.

When it becomes violent and destructive, it's a mob riot. It's no longer a protest. Don't pretend they're the same thing. You can argue whether these people are rioting out of anger that has nowhere else to go, or are just looking for trouble (probably a combination of the two), but don't confuse demonstrations with riots, just because it fits the narrative in which you want to live.

And don't drive through either one. Some do legitimately take a wrong turn through a mob scene, and horrible crimes ensue for which the perpetrators should be arrested and tried. But most of the time when a car gets in there, it's either someone looking for trouble trying to run down and murder people they don't agree with, or they took a wrong turn but ended up in a legitimate demonstration and got out just fine.

This is TERRORISM.

Sure, there's probably more than zero people who would qualify under that definition. That would include the Kyle Rittenhouse, the young man who murdered others with his rifle.

The much much large constituency of these people are either people acting of anger or just looking to cause trouble. In either case, they don't qualify as terrorism because they're not being violent as a way to force a specific demand. That doesn't justify their actions, but it also removes them from the "terrorist" label.

And all of that pales in comparison to the number of peaceful protestors and marchers. I understand that if those peaceful people make you confront difficult questions within yourself, it's very comfortable to conflate them with the violent rioters, and convince yourself that the cause of the legitimate demonstrators is invalid. But you and I both know that's wrong.
