TRENDING! Are We On The Verge Of The 'MOMMY' Style SUV Going Extinct Because Of Products Coming Like The Ford Bronco?
Some of things we've been most proud of here at Auto Spies is that we're probably the ONLY mainstream car website that gives true insight, opinion (not fake and bought off like the mags) and will put our neck on the line with predictions.

Everyone laughed at the BMW X6. We said it would be a hot seller.
We called the new Defender the biggest disappointment of 2020. SO.MUCH.POTENTIAL wasted.
When Ford introduced the 500 we said it would last 500 days on the market. It died 362 days in and became the Taurus again.
We called the Telluride phenomenon six months before the others were even awake.
When they all said Tesla would be done as soon as the Germans had a decent EV (still waiting BTW), we predicted in 10 years the Germans would become as irrelevant in the USA consumer market, as the English and Italians.
EVERY.SINGLE.MEDIA.OUTLET said the Chevy Volt was the second coming and would win over everyone. We called it the 'MODERN DAY EDSEL' on day one and said it would flop. (We haven't been on a GM press trip since that call)

We could go on and on and on.

So it's time for another.

We think due to Bronco and others like it, we're on the verge of a huge transition in Mommy-style SUV's and Crossovers.

Many people driving boring mommy suv's yearn for a Bronco or Old Defender (notice we said old and not the new one) because of the image and the looks. To be honest, that customer cares more about the look than the off-road prowess.

So we're going to say many of these suburban lifestyle SUV's will take on more of an aggressive, SUV style exterior. A MUCH bigger dose of BADASSERY. And more capable in off-road situations.

In other words, it's gotta LOOK the part!

But don't you take away that interior luxury and comfort they're used to. So imagine a Bronco-ish exterior but with massaging seats, and high end purse interiors.

We don't think the old stuff will become extinct but new offerings that keep it more real will challenge them for sales.

That's where we think this market will start going. Do you agree with us or are we wrong?

The vast majority of SUVs are mommywagons and we desperately need some new alternatives.

The Escalade went from being very masculine to a very femmed out ride.

So, the answer is NO.

“Mommy” wears the pants and females make up the majority of the new car market...mommy mobiles are done only when mommy says so...until then manufactures will continue to cash in...

Offering one rugged model option like a G Wagon, Bronco, Wrangler, Defender...and atleast 5 models of mommy mobiles for assurance

A happy wife is a happy life. Buy your wife which ever vehicle she wants within your budget letting her pick out model, color, etc. Make her happy. Then buy the car you want for yourself, just never tell her what you paid for it!

And if you get her the car she wants and after living with it she doesn't like it, make it go away to give space for the next try. My wife wanted a Lexus LC more than anything, so I got her one the way she wanted it as a surprise. She lived with it a few months and then determined it was completely impractical for her life. She replaced it with an X7 and is joyous.

Damn she bitch slapped you and told u she doesn’t want any used cars from the Hyundai dealership anymore??? Wow she lost respect for your decisions and choices...and the fact that you sell used Hyundai’s probably doesn’t get her wet...

Just be careful staying on this blog all day everyday because while you are on here...she could be out there...getting ALL her needs met...automotive and otherwise LOL

The Ford Bronco is a NICHE VEHICLE. It was have little influence on the mainstream auto market.

Most likely Ford will turn the new Bronco into a "mommy mobile" family SUV and that will be it. If they can do it with the Mustang, the Bronco stands no chance.

what's a "mommy SUV" today? options are either soft or aggressive. less for gender-related styling. also, most everything has adopted some sort of upscale-like design such that even the cheaper SUV's look similar to more expensive, luxury models. it's all about the brand/badge today. b/c a Kia SUV has got a definite trend over a BMW SUV similar in size. but that could change depending what area you live or frequent.

today we are seeing the long-term plans for the luxury makers materialize. they had intended in getting deeper into smaller sedans & SUV's...effectively stealing market-share away from the mainstream brand midsize & flagship models.
