Are There ANY Brands You'd NEVER Buy Because Of Their Image, Stigma Or Stereotypical DRIVERS?
Here's an interesting topic for discussion.

We all know that drivers of almost any brand of car have certain stereotypes associated with them. More often than not they also have a reputation for their behavior in person, online, or behind the wheel. Is there any brand, or brands, that you would never buy because of this?

Edit: At the time of posting this I didn't think about the fact that not all of these stereotypes or reputations may be universal to that brand's drivers around the world. Also, if your answer is a brand that isn't sold outside your country or region, explain the stereotypes and reputations of their drivers so everyone can understand!

Oval badges : Bugatti, Ford, Land Rover and Subaru but only Kia would be the copycat because it is Korean allowing Pagani to get away with it.

I really can't think of any I would never buy. Depends totally on the product.

More than just the product, it depends on how much the maker stands behind their products, holds dealerships to standards, supports their customers.

Some--like VW/Audi/Porsche--blame the owner for defects in the car.

This is actually a more complicated question than it seems. After all - there are SOME cars that are far more likely to get stolen that I might stay away from.

THen there are plenty of cars that the average person simply does not have the wherewithal to purchase -

THen there are problems with Reliability and cost of repairs (you will need repairs most likely)

I keep thinking back to my 450SEL 6.9 = which was a Fabulous car but it was stolen. Ad there was really no chance at the time to get another one.1

Certain models absolutely. Certain manufacturers no.

Some brands rejoice in poor quality and mediocre reliability and I would not buy one, much less lease one. On my Oh Hell NO list are: Alfa-Romeo, Jaguar, LRRR, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Audi, and Fiat. I would never buy a French car because they have cultivated a decades-long reputation for mediocrity. Renault destroyed Nissan's quality. I'm not convinced that Peugeot will be much better than Fiat for Chrysler.

Corvette... has the image of an old bald dude with a ponytail and a used up stripper.

If Cadillac ever introduces something appealing to me, they would be way off the mark for their customer base.

Can't say I'd ever exclude an entire brand. However, Buick comes to mind though as the closest.
