WATCH: Lucid Air Tri-Motor Serves Tesla Model S Plaid Up On A Platter In Laguna Seca Track Test

Lucid has reportedly beat the Tesla Model S Plaid prototype’s Laguna Seca racetrack record with its own tri-motor Air test vehicle.

Last year, Tesla broke the fastest lap record for 4-door vehicles with a Model S at Laguna Seca racetrack,

Wow, epic. This is also a traditional "luxury" sedan more like a Mercedes S Class. Pretty impressive!!!

This is a real S-Class competitor. Tesla needs to start building "higher end" cars in order to continue being consider "luxury" since EV makers like Lucid are entering the market with cars like this. I believe Tesla wants to become the Toyota of EVs, its all about volume for them.

Absolutely, I think Telsa's focus is the mass market and they are not going to invest too much in the high end. The S/X were never true "luxury" cars, they are premium cars with a mix of performance, tech, and some lux features. Lucid is going all out with Luxury and eventually they'll build some cheaper cars but likely will never be as mass-market as Tesla.

So this is what it's going to look like?

Well if so this is breathtaking!!! I see hints of the 1995 Dodge Intrepid, with a little Kia and some Pontiac G8. The Infinity FX35 'bonnet' roof is so sexy too!

Fucking idiots.

Electric golf carts make little sound on the race track. How BORING.
