F1 Champ Lewis Hamilton Sells Private Jet And Mothballs Supercar Collection Over Climate Change
Few professions produce as many greenhouse gases as that of a Formula 1 driver. The job involves jetting across the planet dozens of times yearly to race some of the world's fastest cars, often in regions with track records of human rights abuses and coffers filled by the nature-exploiting petroleum trade. It's tough to square this carbon-intense lifestyle with environmental responsibility, but newly climate-anxious Lewis Hamilton is giving it a shot, in part by leaving his collection of performance cars in the garage.

Big Hamilton fan but don't see him flying commercial and driving a Prius. This is either short lived or he's using OP's (other people's).

Does selling the private jet and mothballing the car collection offset the carbon foot print of racing? Enviornmental wackos need to know if they should riot at his house or not.

So he's going to pay per flight on NetJets owning a private jet. Ridiculous.

Hamilton is talented but a complete whinny asshole and only has as many titles as he does because of Benz’s dominance. Had Vettel been his partner or had a comparable car Hamilton would be playing the racism card with much less trophies -except with the ones in his bed...

I disagree, I don’t really care for Hamilton, nor did I care for Schumacher. But like Senna and G. Villanueva they could win with an inferior car. Vettel on the other hand has proven that he needs the best car to win.

Vettel won his championships when he clearly had the best car and didn’t have a teammate to challenge him. When Riccardo joined Red Bull he was much quicker than Vettel, so he jumped to Ferrari.

This is a some desperate sponsorship attempt by Mercedes to get people to buy the EQC.

The next bullshit out of Hamilton's mouth will be that he grew up "a po black chile" in the mean streats of Detroit. Hamilton is an avowed racist.

I’d be impressed with Lewis’s gesture if instead of selling his jet to someone who will keep flying it, he had it crushed so it would emit no more carbon. Let’s face it, Lewis’s celebrity has gone to his head. He actually thinks he is worshipped so much that his actions influence how others will act. He’s just as brain dead as Hollywood types.
