not all of them.

the Grand Cherokee is not a CUV. the Range Rover Sport is not a CUV. Although the RR Sport is maybe the outlier & out-matches everything else; it performed "as expected" for the uneven dirt covered incline. The GC (non-trail-rated) was maybe equipped with a much weaker engine & lower-tier 4x4 system & so did OK when pushed. A GC comparatively equipped like the RR would have performed similarly well.

but basically, all the other SUVs have been engineered for the 85% of users that aint going no where near an off-roading trail.

If they use a Range Rover, they should compare to G-Wagen. The crossovers are called crossovers for a reason.

Watch out if you live in Bosnia, or wherever this was filmed...all these vehicles will soon be 'certified pre-owned' at your local new car dealers!

Not surprised at all the Range Rover Sport did the best. However the limiting factor here was as much the wrong type of tires as it was not enough ground clearance, gearing, and electronic nannies that can't be fully defeated. I seriously doubt anyone would subject their $100k mallmobiles to this kind of terrain very often. I bet a Ford Bronco with its 37" tires makes short work of this course.

I wonder what the repair bill was on the CUV after the test?

The takeaway here is to get an suv with a real transfer case not traction control.
