The move may work for the mass market cars, but the upscale manufacturers will be debuting cars at Monterey in mid August and the Goodwood Revival in in early September.

It is far more cost effective doing event debuts compared to the insane cost associated with traditional auto shows, they’ll leave that to the local dealer marketing group with some support. They’ll get The same press coverage at events like Monterey and Goodwood,

With today’s mass media if you’re an upscale manufacturer would rather debut your new product at Pebble Beach, the South of England or a $#!+ hole like Detroit?

Given the propensity for people to buy cars sight unseen off the internet, it follows that there is no need to actually show a growing number of people the car in person.

During the COVID hoax, we had an uptick of Chicken Littles completely concluding a deal over the internet/phone and having the car delivered INCLUDING used stock.
