A) I agree in part. Always best to ride with friends as you never know what might happen. B) Don't run down the dirtbag on your bike vs a 6500lb truck. It won't end well.
Call the police instead. They are more than happy to come. I called them once when a driver of an Escalade was throwing wrappers at a lady in a Tercel on the 407 Toll highway. A Simple call lead to action and in 10 minutes there were 2 cars chasing him down and an airplane overhead following him.

Only in America. No different than that punk kid with an AR-15 who went to protest to get the chance to shoot someone. This is a driver who did not like the way the motorcyclists were speeding and riding and took the law into his own hands. He will pay a price for sure. Throw the book at him or her.

I always thought trolls were a Scandinavian invention. Looks like Canada has them as well. If you did your homework, you'd know that the "punk kid" was asked, along with several others, by a local business owner to help protect his family business from rioters and arsonists. Three violent adult rioters chased him down and attacked him on the ground. One was beating him with a skateboard, another was threatening to shoot him with a handgun. There were no police or "peaceful" protesters to protect his life at that moment. His act of self defense very likely saved his life that night. "Only in America", indeed. Now, spare us your partisan troll comments and stick to point of the posts.

Thinking you have the right to kill another person just because they are breaking the law (in your view) is insane. You are deciding to throw you life away based on a falsehood. The AR-15 kid will go to jail just like this pick up truck driver. If you see something you don't like in town or on the road call the police and let them deal with it. Dealing with it yourself leads nowhere good. If you still doubt, ask a lawyer.

If you watched the video in action he was clearly on the ground and being approached with by one person displaying a gun (guy shot in the arm). The
guy shot in the stomach was trying to take his firearm away from him. Again a threat.

Here in Texas that is clear cut self defense... if you feel threatened you can defend...

The problem is the bikers, they're all over the road like hornets and for safety, why not stay in the right lanes. But no, they occupy the left lane and get in your grille if you want to get past them. Trucks should not be permitted in the left lane nor should bikers. IMO 90% of the bikers I've past are @$$holes....

The most idiotic thing bikers do is lane splitting even if it is legal. At least a half dozen times I've see a cycle boy go flying past stopped cars on the 405 when a space opens up, a cars moves, and the driver cannot see the bike due do speed differential.

Please, more facts and fewer fallacious straw man arguments. No one has claimed "you have the right to kill another person just because they are breaking the law (in your view)". NO ONE. He was on his back, being attacked with a skateboard, while another was attempting to take his firearm and another was threatening to shoot him with a handgun. The punk kid with the AR-15 is being charged and was being disarmed by 3 citizens at the protest. It all depends on your point of view. The courts will flesh out who is in the right and who is wrong. The dumbest thing the USA has ever allowed is for States to be "open carry". It isn't 1840 anymore and you are not expected to be over-run by a group Comanche or any other tribe. These laws need to be revoked.

The homicide charges carry a maximum prison sentence of 65 years.

Not commenting on the whole thing above... other than it's a tragedy all around. However on open carry... I do think that is a bit bizarre. Even the old west towns like Dodge City or Tombstone or almost any of the frontier towns, they typically required a person to check in their guns at the sheriffs office or sometimes the stables when they came into town and pick em up when they left. It makes a lot of people uncomfortable to be getting groceries while some insecure person has to carry their AR15 to get milk. It can also lead to a heated argument that would have got some knuckles cut and some eyes blackened to a death instead. I have a long history of shooting many types of guns, from M-16s to multiple German assault weapons, own several and have hunted for most of my life so don't go off on me being anti gun. I do think they should pay attention to the well regulated militia part of the 2nd amendment though. Too many idiots out there that have no idea how to handle guns... just today some idiot in Oregon shot himself in the groin and leg showing off his Glock.

People who are fearful of law-abiding citizens with guns deserve to die from their fright.
