FULL LAUNCH VIDEO: While BMW Was Launching The M3/M4, KIA Launched The Tellurides Baby Brother. The 2021 Sorento.
It was a busy day today in cars. BMW was flogging the new M3/M4 and that captured most of the buzz but KIA launched what could be ANOTHER superstar hit for them.

The baby brother to the off the charts success Telluride.

It's looking PRETTY sharp and its hard to think of a better SUV in the space it will compete in.

Check out the full launch video and let us know your opinions...

Seems nice enough, follows a bit in the Tellurides shoes as far as styling goes.
Things I like: DRL design, hidden rear wiper, nice profile and rear, the 2.5L 281hp/311lbft 4cyl, lots of configurable screen space on the dash, live camera view of the blind spot when you put on your blinker, good attempt to better differentiate the models within the Sorento line.

Things I don't like: The nose seems over-wrought, Bose audio, no larger displacement V6 option, AC vents and that area seems like a cheap boom box as do many cars/trucks in this area.

Who was the ugly prostitute at the start. She's on her way to being a Wendy.

The slang for a "Wendy" comes from:

"Who's peekin' out from under a stairway
Calling a name that's lighter than air
Who's bending down to give me a rainbow
Everyone knows it's Windy

Who's tripping down the streets of the city
Smilin' at everybody she sees
Who's reachin' out to capture a moment
Everyone knows it's Windy"

With so many women being a part of the buying process with men these days, offering a prostitute to seal the deal may have worked a half century ago when TomM was in his twenties and buying cars, but it won't work now.

Besides we'd have to employ gay and lesbian prostitutes and then the trannys would want equity and some women would want to pay homage to the BBC, so it all gets really complicated. That's why we don't have prostitutes on staff.

But--speaking of prostitutes--the group bought a dealer in an unnamed city a while ago. The dealer acquired had been at its site for over 70 years and the owners would not move to the automall despite prostitution and drug deals happening in the neighborhood where the dealer stood. We bought the dealer so we could close it and open under a new name in the automall.

And yes, staff at the dealer was not averse to letting someone bend down to give them a rainbow.
