Lucid Motors Closes In On Tesla Track Record At Laguna Seca

Lucid Motors has achieved a new personal record getting closer to Tesla Model S Plaid’s own record at the Laguna Seca racetrack with its own tri-motor electric performance vehicle.

But there are caveats.

The Laguna Seca racetrack is becoming the scene to develop the highest performance electric car and consequently, the highest performance production car ever.

This is getting good! No point of even developing an EV sports car with this type of performance out of a sedan. I still prefer having the sound of a Shelby GT 350 and a slower lap time but no doubt about the EVs are at another level.

It's already at a point from a physics perspective that no ICE car can match the specs of the next gen EVs. The sound may be gone but there is no doubt the best performing cars of the future will be EVs.
