WATCH: Owner Takes Delivery Of New Model Y - Moments Later He Blows The Top Off
On September 15, we told our readers that the Model X was losing bits of its roof due to gluing issues with these parts. We hoped Tesla would reinforce quality control and solve this matter once and for all, but that does not seem to be the case after what happened to a Model Y. Getting back home right after delivery, it became a convertible. Not because his owner took it to a body shop but rather because "the entire glass roof just blew off."

If these are designed to be kicked out too and use the same sort of glue, this could become an issue.

Quality control on Tesla is atrocious. It's literally non-existent. People who buy these things are lemmings wanting to be in on the "new thing".

The only thing Tesla cares about is manufacturing as many cars as possible. QC and service are horrible.

Where are the Spin Doctors. I would blame this on Climate Change not allowing the glue to properly set.

Having those working at tesla's manufacturing plant are fools who don't care about quality... Look at all the models that first came out? so many issues, panels not aligned, seats falling off, rattling everywhere, suspension issues, screens freezing... and now the entire roof just fell off!!! That's some serious quality issue that tesla don't care much at this time except to push production to meet expectations.
