Dodge Challenger Scoops Up 42% Of The Muscle Car Market In Q2

As new car sales across the United States start to rebound with states opening up during the coronavirus pandemic, it is the Dodge Challenger that has proven to be the most popular muscle car.

During the third quarter of the year, a total of 16,332 Dodge Challengers were sold across the United States. That represents a 9.42 per cent fall in sales compared to the 18,031 Challengers that were sold in the third quarter of 2019.

Would it surprise anyone that Dodge is giving biggest price discounts? Maybe wrong but suspect amortization of this model well in the rear view mirror allowing more flexible pricing at manufacturer's level passed on by dealers.

#1 The Challenger is steeply discounted because it costs nothing to build.

#2 The Supply of Mustangs was not robust and Ford wasn't discounting.

#3 I think Mary plans to kill the Camaro.

To my eyes the Challenger and the Camaro look the most authentic of the trio. The last few Mustang's have become too blunt and brick like in their designs. The Camaro has suffered as well with designers playing with the front end. I am always happy to see a brightly coloured Challenger when I am out.
