NHTSA should step in a ban carmakers from mfg models that cannot fit 3 full size adults in the 3rd row. A 3rd row does not belong in a vehicle that size.

Even the Model X is cramped in the 3rd row. I can't even imagine how tight it will be in the 3rd row of a Y.

Not sure what is accomplished by rolling out a 7-seater Model Y, aside from short-changing cargo space. The seats won't be usable.

The best 'tiny' 7-seater on the market is the Land Rover Discovery Sport (i.e. prior gen Ford Escape). The Discovery Sport is a packaging miracle.
