Did This One Exchange On The OIL Industry LOSE The Election For Joe Biden At Last Night's Debate?
Last night was the last Presidential debate.

Both candidates got their shots but it was Biden's comments on what he plans to do to the oil industry and achieve net ZERO emissions by 2025 that are making HUGE waves. You read that RIGHT. 2025.

With everything I like hearing the full story, so before I comment on it, here is the EXACT transcript for you to read. So no one can claim we're taking things out of context or misrepresenting anything.

[1:28:12] Welker: OK, I have one final question--
[1:28:14] Trump: Would you close down the-- Would you close down the oil industry?
[1:28:17] Biden: I would transition from the oil industry. Yes.
[1:28:19] Trump: Oh, transition.
[1:28:21] Biden: It is a big statement because I would stop--
[1:28:22] Welker: Why would you do that?
[1:28:24] Biden: Because the oil industry significantly pollutes — but here's the deal —
[1:28:27] Trump: That’s a big statement.
[1:28:31] Biden: Well, if you let me finish the statement, because it has to be replaced by renewable energy over time. Over time. And I’d stop giving to the oil industry-- I’d stop giving them federal subsidies. You won't give federal subsidies to the gas and, excuse me, to solar and wind.  Why are we giving it to the oil industry?
[1:28:52] Trump: We actually do give it to solar and wind--
[1:28:54] Welker: All right, we have one final question--
[1:28:56] Trump:  That’s the biggest statement. In terms of business. that's the biggest statement.
[1:28:59] Welker: All right, we have one final question-- Mr. President--
[1:29:00] Trump: Because basically what he’s saying is he’s going to destroy the oil industry. Will you remember that Texas? Will you remember that Pennsylvania? Oklahoma? Ohio?
[1:29:07] Welker: Vice President Biden, let me give you ten seconds to respond and then I have to get to the final question. Vice President Biden?
[1:29:12] Biden: He takes everything out of context, but the point is, look, we have to move toward a net zero emissions. The first place to do that by the year 2025 is in energy production. By 2050, totally.
[1:29:25] Welker: All right. One final question--
[1:29:26] Trump: Is he gonna get China to do it? Is he going to get China to do it?
[1:29:27] Welker: No, we're finished with this. We have to move on to our final question.
[1:29:30] Biden: No, I’m going to rejoin the Paris Accord and get China to abide by what they agreed to
[1:29:33] Trump: But that’ll cost you $1 trillion.

Full debate transcript

Here is the video as well of the exchange:

Now that you read it I only pose two questions to you all...How would moving to net zero emissions in five short years NOT destroy the oil/energy business and jobs and did this exchange lose the election for Joe Biden in ALL the key swing states like Tx, Pa, Wv, Oh, Nc, Ok, Nm, Az?

Discuss...

BP and Chevron are already slowing moving there focus from fossil fuels and selling off holdings. You may not know Chevron owns EGO battery mowers. They will become energy companies with many offerings. The politics of the current WH won't matter as they manage their business on a global basis.

Exactly it proved Joe had common sense.

The question that lost the election from trump was, where are your tax returns you’ve kept hidden from Americans for 4 years? What are you afraid of?

As much as I am against Trump - the problem with his taxes is always brought up - but so far - Trump has indeed been correct. It is law in the USA that your Taxes are PRIVATE - between YOU and the IRS (Not even the rest of the Government.

But there is something else to consider -we ALREADY KNOW that for quite a while - The Trump organization and family have be AUDITED each year by the IRS. While an audit checks compliance with the tax codes and not other law - the fact is - what are they looking for that the audit never found?

Considering how the Obama Administration weaponized the IRS does anyone truly believe if there was anything illegal in Trump’s taxes he wouldn’t have been perp walked in front of the cameras in 20 seconds after a full swat raid?

The question is why are people so interested in a Billionaire that became a Politician, but are not interested in the hundreds of Politicians that became Millionaires while in Office on a Government salary?

According to the most accurate pollsters (i.e.not 538, NYTimes, CNN, etc) Biden has likely already lost the election. His comments about shutting down oil production during the debate, just as the US has finally achieved energy independence (which Democrats said was impossible)will certainly cost him votes in energy producing states. Joe's family corruption, which has been exposed by the information found on the laptop, will hurt him as well, despite Twitter and Facebooks partisan censorship. The fact is, Biden is a historically terrible candidate. If he wins, it'll only be on account of a hyper partisan media and fraud.

Slow Joe's nose would be 100 feet long if he had one like Pinocchio's. The idiot tells like after lie after lie. "I never said I'd ban fracking". Roll tape lol. There's a shit ton of things he stated that are easily shown to be the exact opposite of what he's said in the past.

Meanwhile Slow Joe has failed to build a huge lead in early voting. Dhims depend on a large lead in the early voting because their shepple tend to vote early (and often). The fact that they have not been able to build a large lead in the early voting is a sure sign of trouble for the party of lies.

Face it, Slow Corrupt Joe is a crook. He's sold out our country for 47 years and if given a chance, he'll do it again. It’s probably all going to hinge on Pennsylvania, that is why it historically got the nickname “Keystone” State. if Trump wins PA it’s over, if Biden wins that won’t guarantee a victory but will provide an easier path.

Most of PA will go Red, the question is Philadelphia a very corrupt city known as a vote manufacturing machine that produces more votes than eligible voters. The fact that they are now allowing votes to be counted received after election day and now declaring that the signatures on mail in ballots don’t have to match the signature on file is a setup for voter fraud on a massive scale.

Early voting in Florida has Trump up by 200k votes already. And that includes Miama-Dade county where dhims traditionally build up a big lead. If the trend continues, FLA is lost to Slow Joe.

Latest Zia poll shows Trump down by only 1% among Black voters in Michigan! The same poll shows Trump has a 4% lead in MI. Dhims traditionally need 85% support to win. This is big trouble for Slow Joe.

No doubt, Slow Joe's pledge to end the oil industry is going to come back big time and hurt him. That comment will not play well in Pennsylvania.

All in all, all the trends show the race trending upward for Trump and trending downward for Slow Joe.

The only thing for certain is that Joe said he would end subsidies to oil companies if elected. These keep getting paid because oil are big GOP donors. That ends with the election (maybe). That is all that was said.

The Bidens were already investigated by the FBI and nothing untoward was found in their conduct. That is why the story does not have legs. It is old news and over and done with.

Nobody here or in the paper or on the news knows what is happening or what will happen with the US election. Early votes are at an all time high, but according to the election laws, none can be opened until all the voting is done on November 3rd.

So you only have polls and opinions to go by. Go vote for you side. Set a record for participation. 100m voters did not bother to vote in 2016 and the election was decided by 70,000 votes out of 136,000,000.

"The Bidens were already investigated by the FBI and nothing untoward was found in their conduct. That is why the story does not have legs. It is old news and over and done with."

A profoundly ignorant statement given the new information released just over the last 72 hours. In just the last 24 hours, the FBI has scheduled an interview with the Bidens' former business partner, Mr.Bobulinski, who handed over his phones with messages with the Biden family. It's equally absurd to dismiss a story as "not having legs" while FB and Twitter have actively censored its dissemination and the legacy media has blacked it out. It's quite clear to anyone paying attention that Hunter Biden was being paid by foreign entities for access to Joe Biden. The information discovered on the laptop, which has been corroborated by others on the email threads and confirmed by the Director of National Intelligence as NOT be part of a Russian disinformation plot, provides substantiation. Should this revelation of Biden family corruption not be enough to prevent his election to the presidency, it won't be because the story is "old" and doesn't have legs. It'll be because the legs have been amputated by an equally corrupt, agenda-driven big tech and news media that works as the propaganda arm of the DNC, and the willful ignorance of Democrats in this country who are unaware of any information they haven't been told by Don Lemon, Chris Cuomo or Jeffrey "Zoom pervert" Toobin on CNN.

The Zoom incident was indeed hilarious. But no, nobody thinks CNN or ABC or NBC is part of some big machine against the GOP. GPO voters just don't like to hear the facts about what is actually happening with the economy, Corona Virus or the lies the President said.

Robust testing with proper contact tracing early on would have greatly limited the spread of the virus.

In simple terms, if you know who has it, then you can ask them who they've been in contact with recently and have those people self quarantine for a couple of weeks. If done properly, this greatly limits the spread of the virus to manageable levels to the point where we can get on with our lives without worrying about massive outbreaks that risk overwhelming our healthcare system.

This is what countries like Japan, South Korea, New Zealand and Taiwan and others have achieved with great success.

When hospitals are overwhelmed with COVID patients they are limited in their abilities to treat people who show up with any other ailment so this becomes a detriment to anyone who may become ill during this time.

Horrible situation to be in and unfortunately it looks like that's where we're headed. This could have been avoided with the proper mitigation I described above.

No one says it's easy - it's a monumental but achievable effort - but one that has not pursued in this country.

A. It's silly to compare a country of 330 million with an extremely diverse population to those homogenous and/or small countries you listed. B. Contact tracing failed in the US because the US tend to be distrustful of big gov't and people infrequently answered the calls of contact tracers , not because Trump didn't pursue it. C. And testing lagged because there weren't enough tests in large part because of CDC bureaucracy that insisted on a distinct, coronavirus strain specific test. D. Don't forget that while Trump was proactively cutting travel from the virus origin country of China, Democrats opposed the action with Pelosi irresponsibly encouraging Americans to go to restaurants. E. Irresponsible leftwing protests and riots effectively ended the quarantine.

"I believe in science"

Sure, bud. And that's why you oppose nuclear power and genetically modified crops, believe that a second or third trimester fetus is "part of the woman's body" and think there are more than two genders.

Answer this: was it science (1) when the CDC rejected mask wearing; or (2) when the CDC strongly recommended everyone wear a mask; or (3) does the CDC flip-flop demonstrate that the science may change when more information becomes available?
