I don't think a lot of CEOs work on hiring for individual contributor engineers. There are very few CEOs that even understand engineering.

Does Musk speak German? If he wants to meet the leaders who run production or the most senior plant management candidates, I guess that is a good use of his time. But this still should really be delegated to someone else.

CC, Most Germans speak English. They grew-up listening to Armed forces radio and watching US movies and TV shows. Of course he is over there for senior management, not to interview line workers.
